My Cows Glow in the Dark <\/strong><\/h2>\n

While watching a science fiction movie on TV one night, I heard a line about something \u201cglowing in the dark.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The next show I watched included farmers, cows, rustlers, cowboys, and obviously, a hero.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>I decided to have some fun and imagine a crazy situation that would result if both programs came together.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

So, I used the idea of something glowing in the dark and imagined the uproar it would cause if cows glowed in the dark.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

What would the farmers be thinking?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

How would they explain this to the town folk?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As this book will reveal, writing and reading poems can and should be fun or at least enjoyable.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

MEASURE OF LOVE is one of  those poems you read slowly and romantically to your lover while sitting under a tall, shady tree during the late spring, early summer or early fall. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Immediately after reading it, pause for a few seconds to let the brilliance of your poetic mind linger and then immediately jump up and shout \u201cHey, look over there, a deer! (or a bear or a flying saucer!) <\/strong><\/p>\n

Say anything, just as long as you distract your lovers attention away from the words and meaning of the poem. <\/strong><\/p>\n

While listening to you recite the poem, your lover will be completely enthralled at how<\/u> much<\/u> the words are saying you love that person. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u200bMany times, poems become a celebration or <\/strong><\/span>remembrance of a special occasion.<\/strong><\/span>Is not the theft of your first Holiday Inn towel a \u201cspecial occasion\u201d?By the way, if you recite this poem for the first time at a party,look around to see who is laughing or smiling.Those are the ones who are guilty of \u201cThe Crime.\u201dThose not smiling probably think those towels are for drying one’s body after a bath or shower.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

If you are a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, you immediately think of Ben Roethlisberger.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

However, if you\u2019re a Denver Broncos fan, you think of John Elway.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Cincinnati Bengal fans will insist this describes Boomer Esaison.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In  Washington, they remember Joe Theismann; Buffalo recalls Doug Flutie.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Hockey fans will tell you Big Number Seven was Phil Esposito\u2019s number or Paul Coffey\u2019s number in Edmonton.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

To me, Big Number Seven can only mean Mickey Mantle.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a gaming fan, you might have tried to destroy Silo 7.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The same words can paint such vivid, different pictures.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
